The new Oslo Opera House we wrote about at the end of last year is now open.
Construction began in 2003 and was officially opened on Saturday 12th April by King Harald. Among the guests were Denmark's Queen Margrethe, Sweden's Crown Princess Victoria, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, as well as Iceland's Presdent Olafur Ragnar Grimsson and Finland's President Tarja Halonen.
The opera has four auditoriums including a main 1,350-seat auditorium and a smaller 400-seat auditorium. Apparently it's visible from aircraft landing and taking off at Oslo Gardemon airport.
