Nordic Design
The construction has required an unusual design and innovative technical solutions. The focus has been on environment, lightweight materials and small-scale thinking, with exciting details and ‘living materials’ – all characterised by Nordic modern simplicity.
The interior is a mix of old traditions and modern, slightly bold details. It also has a clear connection to food and wine. The 23 rooms, with 46 beds, are given names and colours based on spices used in the Salt & Sill kitchen.
You could definitely say that this is a unique hotel with unique solutions – where everything floats.

Award Winning Food
Salt & Sill is a hotel with an international cuisine, the restaurant opened in 1999 and has a great reputation for food based on local raw materials and strong influences from the coast and the ocean- in an inspiring setting. The restaurant serves traditional regional dishes, combined with innovative thinking, and its speciality, herring. The restaurant seats 175, plus another 120 outside on the pier.
